Elegant french in Hakone

Near the Prince Hakone, there is a classical hotel named "Yamano Hotel(山のホテル)" which was originally built as a second house of Baron Iwasaki,  a nephew of Iwasaki Yataro who was the founder of Mitsubishi (三菱). The main restaurant is "Bell Bois(ヴェル・ボワ)" which serves french dishes. 

The atmosphere, interior and service are elegant. We can see the sparkling surface of the Lake Ashino from the window. The dishes are definitely delicious (though dessert was moderate). Tourists or those who enjoy driving also come to the restaurant and accordingly smart casual is also acceptable as dress code.

I guarantee that you can spend a very nice time there particularly at lunch or branch as we can enjoy the brisk breeze from the Lake. My rating is 3 out of 5. Gochiso-samadeshita!
